How Type SB objects are packed, shipped and — where applicable — returned.
Last updated · 19 August 2026
Type SB ships worldwide. Every object is packed in its presentation case and dispatched on a fully tracked and insured service, signature required on delivery.
Pieces held in stock are dispatched within five working days of payment clearing. Commissioned and made-to-order pieces are dispatched once machining, finishing and certification are complete; the lead time for your edition is confirmed in writing at the point of order.
Shipping is included in the published price. Risk passes to you on delivery.
Orders shipped outside the United Kingdom may attract import duty, customs charges or local sales tax on arrival. These are set by the destination country, are not collected by Type SB, and are the responsibility of the recipient. We cannot declare shipments as gifts or under-declare value.
If your piece was shipped from existing stock, you may return it within fourteen days of delivery for a refund. Tell us within that window by emailing enquiries@typesb.com with your order number.
The object must be returned unused, unmarked and complete — presentation case, certificate of authenticity and all packaging included. Return postage is paid by the buyer, and the return must travel fully tracked and insured for the full value. We recommend reusing the original packaging; damage caused in transit on an uninsured return cannot be refunded.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within fourteen days of the piece arriving back with us and passing inspection.
Limited edition pieces machined to order, and any bespoke or personalised commission, are non-refundable and cannot be cancelled once production has begun. Each is manufactured individually to your order and laser-etched with its edition number.
This reflects your statutory position under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, which exempt goods made to a consumer's specification or clearly personalised from the fourteen day cancellation right. Whether your order is a stock piece or a commission is stated at checkout and on your order confirmation.
Your statutory rights are unaffected by anything above. If a piece arrives damaged, or proves faulty or not as described, contact us within thirty days of delivery with photographs and we will arrange collection at our cost and repair, replace or refund the order in full — including commissioned editions.
Machining marks, tool witness lines and the natural variation of a hand-finished surface are characteristics of a billet-machined object, not faults.
